The BITSAT eligibility criteria ensure that only qualified candidates can apply for admission to BITS Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. Key points include:
- Educational Qualification – Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology from a recognized board.
- Minimum Marks Required – At least 75% aggregate in PCM/PCB and 60% in each subject.
- Year of Passing – Only candidates who have passed Class 12 in 2024 or appearing in 2025 are eligible.
- Attempts Allowed – Students can appear for both sessions, and the best score will be considered for admission.
- Direct Admission for Board Toppers – State and central board first-rank holders get direct admission to their preferred program.
Basic Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility criteria for appearing in BITSAT 2025 are as follows:
1. Nationality
- Only Indian citizens can apply for BITSAT.
- Foreign students may apply under the International Admissions Scheme (separate from BITSAT).
2. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Mathematics students can apply for B.E. (Engineering) programs.
- Biology students can apply for B.Pharm programs.
3. Minimum Marks Requirement
- Candidates must have at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
- Must score at least 60% in each subject separately.
4. Year of Passing

- A candidate can appear in both Session 1 & Session 2 in the same year.
- If they take both sessions, the best score will be considered for admission.

Direct Admission for Board Toppers
BITS Pilani offers direct admission to first-rank holders of all central and state boards in India. This is a special provision to encourage academic excellence.
